At QEFAS Preparatory School, we are looking for a dedicated educator who possesses a deep knowledge of both Commercial Teacher and has a passion for teaching.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the understanding of these subjects for our students, preparing them for local examinations such as UTME and WAEC.
The candidate will have expertise in Accounting, Economics, Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK), and Commerce
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards for Accounting, Economics, CRK, and Commerce.
Ensure lessons cater to the varying needs and abilities of students.
Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students.
Deliver high-quality instruction in Accounting, Economics, CRK, and Commerce.
Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance learning experiences.
Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Maintain accurate and complete records of student performance.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
Address student behavior and academic concerns in a professional and supportive manner.
Stay current with developments in the field of education and in the subjects being taught.
Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share best practices.
Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events as required.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or higher in Commercial or related field.
Teaching qualification/certification is preferred.
Proven experience teaching Commercial subjects at the secondary school level, colleges or universities.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian educational curriculum and assessment methods.
ICT compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Proximity to Akowonjo, Lagos, ensuring timely arrival for teaching duties.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
Desirable:
Possession of experience or credentials in English Language teaching.
Residency near the school's location, or a willingness to relocate, to reduce transportation expenses.
Compensation
Salary: N100,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
