We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Technical Sales Associate to join our team.
This role combines both technical expertise and sales skills, with responsibilities including technical guidance, sales support, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure our clients' machines operate smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Service:
Promote and sell ice cream trucks to potential clients, including new and existing customers.
Provide product demonstrations and highlight the features and benefits of different ice cream truck models.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and offering tailored solutions.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding truck specifications, pricing, and financing options.
Prepare sales contracts, handle customer orders, and manage post-sale support.
Technical Support and Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with ice cream trucks, including refrigeration units, electrical systems, and vehicle engines.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ice cream trucks, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Handle emergency repairs and on-site troubleshooting for clients who require immediate assistance.
Work closely with mechanics and technicians to address more complex repair needs.
Product Knowledge and Recommendations:
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and new models of ice cream trucks.
Advise customers on the best truck models based on their business needs, location, andtarget market.
Provide recommendations for upgrades or modifications to improve the performance and functionality of the trucks.
Sales Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and service reports.
Update the sales pipeline and provide regular reports on sales activities and technical issues to management.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2 - 4 years experience.
Technical Expertise: Experience with vehicle maintenance, refrigeration systems, or general mechanical troubleshooting is preferred.
Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in a technical or automotive field.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to address technical issues efficiently.
Customer Service Orientation: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers to identify and meet their needs.
Organization and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and sales leads simultaneously.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client locations as needed and perform hands-on work in varying conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with or selling vehicles (trucks, vans, or specialty vehicles).
Knowledge of refrigeration systems, engines, and vehicle electrical systems is a plus.
Familiarity with ice cream truck equipment, including soft-serve machines, freezers, and vending hardware, is an advantage.
