Job Title:Finance Manager
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Purpose
The Finance and Admin Associate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the Fund’s finances and setting budgets.
In addition, is a crucial player in producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research to help senior executives make sound business decisions in the long and short term.
Responsibilities
Finance & Accounts:
Oversee the financial management operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and auditing.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the Foundation’s assets.
Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Oversee cash flow management and optimize the organization’s financial position.
Coordinate the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance throughout the year.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners.
Lead the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Manage the computation and payment of salaries (Payroll)
Audit & Compliance:
Plan, coordinate, and manage internal and external audit processes.
Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
Implement and monitor corrective actions based on audit findings.
Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and processes.
Report audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee
Risk Management:
Responsible for the development and implementation of sound independent control policies and standards covering all sources of risks (financial and non-financial) for the NSSF. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the Fund.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the organization’s interests and Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements
Admin and Operations:
Act as liaison between the organization and underwriters to ensure adequate coverage of the NSSF’s physical assets against all risks.
Participate in vendor evaluation and selection processes ensuring consistent application and transparency.
Provide input to the documentation of Service Level Agreements between NSSF and its vendors.
Assist with the review and assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of the admin policies, procedures, processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Job Specification, qualification and Experience
Qualifications:
B.Sc. or HND in a related field
ICAN or ACCA.
A Masters degree will be an added advantage
Skills, and Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles and Strong analytical and accounting skills.
Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
Financial Reporting & Accounting Management/Financial Strategy and Planning
Ability to think strategically and holistically and to appreciate the impact of various policies, issues and solutions.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
