Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and passionate Data Analyst Training Instructor to join our team at Darey.io.
• In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality data analysis training, managing training cohorts, and ensuring continuous improvement of our curriculum and training materials.
• You will develop and deliver a comprehensive curriculum to our learners, conduct weekly training sessions, and provide ongoing support through our Slack community and Xterns platform.

Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery:

• Conduct engaging and effective Data Analysis training sessions both online and in person.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and experience levels.
• Provide hands-on guidance and support to learners during practical exercises and projects.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.

Course Creation:

• Develop and produce video-based courses in data analysis, covering key topics such as Excel, data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau), and cloud data analysis tools (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Collaborate with the content and production teams to create structured, high-quality, and engaging video lessons.
• Ensure course content is up-to-date, practical, and aligned with industry demands.
• Plan and organise course modules to create a smooth and logical progression for learners.

Cohort Management:

• Led and coordinated training cohorts, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality learning experiences.
• Align other instructors with appropriate cohorts based on expertise and scheduling.
• Monitor cohort progress and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Curriculum Development and Maintenance:

• Continuously update and improve training materials, including slides, exercises, and projects.
• Stay current with the latest data analysis trends, tools, and best practices, especially in visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
• Collaborate with the content team to develop new courses and update existing ones.
• Ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and market demands.

Learner Support:

• Provide additional support to learners outside of scheduled training sessions.
• Offer guidance on career development and industry certifications.
• Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

Instructor Coordination:

• Mentor and support other instructors in delivering high-quality training.
• Conduct regular meetings with the instructor team to share best practices and address challenges.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new instructors.

Quality Assurance:

• Regularly review and assess the quality of training delivery across all cohorts.
• Gather and analyze feedback from learners and instructors to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement changes to enhance the overall learning experience.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Provide regular updates to management on cohort progress and performance.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support student recruitment efforts.
• Represent Darey.io at industry events and conferences as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong understanding of related tools and practices.
• Experience in technical training, education or mentoring others
• Proficiency in Excel, data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and cloud-based data analysis tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Expertise with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones for online training.
• Willingness to travel for on-site training sessions at our head office in Yaba (when required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty).
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and online collaboration tools.
