AFL Networks is a modern, future-proof network in Lagos capable of delivering metro connectivity that reaches all data centers and landing stations at any bandwidth required. The network, with its ultra-low-latency connectivity can support real-time transmission of high-quality video including 4K and future quality video resolutions (8k, 16k etc). It can deliver support for public and private 5G and IoT and also for colocation of edge caching from AFL Networks Points-of-Presence.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mid-Level Metro Connectivity Sales, Marketing and Commercial Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales and Marketing professional to join AFL Networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of metropolitan connectivity products, including Dark fibre, DWDM, Ethernet, and transit connectivity to enterprises, as well as open access FTTH connectivity to ISPs and carriers.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of the telecoms industry in Nigeria, our products and services, excellent presentation skills, and proficiency in marketing and social media strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential enterprise customers and ISPs/carriers for our connectivity solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets.
  • Ability to contribute meaningfully towards the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for products such as Dark Fibre, Ethernet, IP Transit, and FTTH.

Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Dark Fibre, DWDM, Ethernet, transit connectivity, and FTTH products.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Understand AFL Networks' specific offerings, including our open access metropolitan fibre cable network services and aerial fibre-optic network infrastructure.

Marketing and Social Media:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our connectivity solutions.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze sales data to inform marketing strategies and product positioning.

Team Leadership:

  • Ability to develop and mentor a team of sales and marketing professionals.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Customer Engagement:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in telecommunications industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Dark Fibre, DWDM, Ethernet, transit connectivity, and FTTH products.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing strategies and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task
