Specific Duties & Responsibilities
With technical oversight from the state and central office technical staff and collaboration with StateProgram management, the Pharmaceutical Services Assistant shall provide support and share responsibility in the following:
Assist in managing the dispensing aspects of the HIV care and treatment program
Assist in implementing plans and activities in concordance with the Government of Nigeria’s guidelines/standards atall healthcare facilities supported by the organization
Assist in tracking, monitoring, and conducting inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spreadsheets, and databases.
Assist inperiodic of support to medical, nursing, and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
Collate, prepare and submit periodic progress reports on pharmaceutical and logistics services from the sites supported to the implementation the HIV care and treatment program.
Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing, and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
Prepare and submit periodic progress reports on pharmaceutical and logistics services from the sites supported to the implementation the HIV care and treatment program.
Perform any other duties assigned
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or other relevant field with prior experience in pharmaceutical services delivery and supply chain management
At least 2 years experience in related programming in developing countries.
Experience in Pharmaceutical service delivery, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
Proficiency in the use of electronic Logistic Management Information Systems e.g. NHLMIS, CMM, and POC-NMRS applications.
Proficiency in MS Access, SPSS, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other Office packages.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the demonstrable ability to develop written reports for decision-making.
Knowledge of the local language will be an asset.
