Job Title: Tube Mill Operator

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Job Description

• The Tube Mill Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining tube mill machinery used in the production of metal tubing.
• This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the production process.
• The Tube Mill Operator plays a critical role in ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met throughout the production line.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor tube mill equipment to produce tubes to specifications.
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure that tubing meets quality standards and adjust machinery as needed to maintain accuracy.
• Material Handling: Load raw materials and adjust feed settings, cutting dimensions, and roll pressure for optimal performance.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs to ensure machinery is in good working order.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to machine operation, alignment, and feed rate to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout procedures, to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production, machine performance, and any adjustments made during the shift.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members, maintenance, and quality control staff to ensure smooth operation of the production line.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a tube mill operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of tube mill operation, machinery adjustments, and safety practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with metalworking equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, production diagrams, and quality standards.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a noisy, industrial environment.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 / Month.
