Are you a strategic and detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for managing complex financial operations? We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to drive financial efficiency, support growth, and manage the financial health of our multi-industry organization.
Job Summary
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations across the group of companies, ensuring compliance, efficient budget management, and strategic financial planning.
This role requires a proactive approach to managing cash flows, reporting, budgeting, and implementing financial policies that support the organization’s objectives and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop, analyze, and interpret financial information to evaluate the group’s performance and support decision-making.
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Prepare consolidated financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
Coordinate the annual budgeting process for each business unit and monitor performance against budgets.
Identify and implement cost control strategies, analyzing variances to ensure budgetary alignment.
Accounting and Financial Compliance:
Oversee accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ledger management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, tax, and financial reporting standards.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, coordinating audits and addressing audit findings promptly.
Treasury and Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flows and maintain sufficient liquidity to meet operational and capital requirements.
Internal Controls and Risk Management:
Establish and enforce internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain integrity.
Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
Leadership and Team Management:
Supervise, train, and mentor the finance team across the group, providing guidance to enhance productivity and professional growth.
Collaborate with other departments and business unit heads to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
Key Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant Master’s degree is a plus.
Certification: Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 6 years in a managerial role, preferably in a group or corporate setting.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and budgeting.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities.
Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
