Job Summary
Emerald Zone is seeking a result-driven and innovative HR Manager to join the team of aleading organisation in Lagos.
This role will focus on shaping the company's culture, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring that HR initiatives are aligned with business goals.
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes.
This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Execute and coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing and screening to interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
Oversee employee performance appraisal, perform evaluation and provide constructive feedback to facilitate professional growth.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records such as employment contracts, offer letters, and policy manuals.
Develop and implement talent management strategies, policies, and programs that align with business objectives and support talent acquisition, retention, and development.
Maintain positive relationships between employees and the company by handling employee complaints, mediating disputes, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Administer employee’s compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonus plans, employee benefits enrollment, HMO, retirement plans, annual leave, sick leave, and other time-off requests.
Design and execute training and development programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the Society's values
Identify and mitigate risks related to the workplace, such as discrimination, harassment, and safety hazards.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant statutes.
Prepare regular HR reports and presentations for management review.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Skills:
5 - 6 years proven experience in HR roles, with a strong understanding of HR best practices, and labor laws.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and tactfully with diverse teams and stakeholder.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong Understanding of Industry best practices in recruitment, talent management, and employee development.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
