Description
We are looking for people who are passionate about helping refugees and people forced to flee.
If you are one of those people, the Norwegian Refugee Council in Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Logistics Intern to join our team in Jos, Plateau State.
The purpose of the Logistics Intern position is to support the logistics functions and responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods and services.
Specific Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines
Implement delegated tasks according to the plan of action
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
Ensure proper filing of documents
Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
Assist Logistics team in managing & supervising of Jos warehouse/stock.
Ensure that all assets/equipment purchased are entered in the asset/ inventory database and fill handover (Check In & Check Out) forms before allocating or dispatching to the requester.
Assist Logistics team to local procurement e.g. distributions of RFQ & Bid Analysis.
Assist Logistics team in preparation of Vehicle Movement plan for Pick & Drop for rental Vehicle on a monthly basis.
Ensure proper filing and scanning of Logistical documents.
Performs other duties when required and given by the line manager
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from Business Administration, Engineering, diploma or certification from other relevant field is required
No work experience is required
Good computer skills - Ms Office & database.
Good communication skills.
Relevant training can be an advantage
