Job Summary
The Sales Head will play a critical role in driving revenue growth for the MiniGrids Sales Team in collaboration with the Country Director.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, fostering a high-performance and positive work environment.
Set and communicate a strategic vision for Hybrid MiniGrids (HMG) sales, driving alignment with broader business goals.
Implement "Best Practices" across sales operations and ensure they are shared across the company’s subsidiaries.
Collaborate with other Business Unit Heads to drive sales and business performance, supporting partnership engagements where needed.
Negotiate and resolve conflicts in the best interests of the company, its clients, and employees.
Act as a leadership figure in-country, supporting the Country Director and cross-functional teams in achieving business objectives.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Identify new markets and revenue growth opportunities for MiniGrids.
Formulate and implement a sales strategy aligned with company goals, ensuring robust management processes are in place.
Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to meet revenue targets, providing regular forecasts and performance reports.
Conduct market research, analyzing business development opportunities, potential sites, and budgeting requirements.
Establish market segmentation, identify customer opportunities, and develop strategies for long-term pipeline and short-term revenue goals.
Drive customer-focused market intelligence and create scalable promotional strategies and processes.
Business Growth and Support:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, IT, and Finance, to ensure seamless execution of business plans.
Drive continuous improvements in sales processes, focusing on cost efficiency and quality enhancements.
Provide insightful sales reports, including pipeline development, market conditions, sales results, and budget performance.
Support the optimization of business activities and processes to promote best practices for enhanced operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customer groups, and business partners.
Collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Build and maintain a high-performing sales team, promoting a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Thought Leadership:
Lead thought leadership initiatives, positioning Husk as a leading player in the MiniGrids space within Nigeria.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field from a leading institution; a postgraduate degree is a plus.
Experience:
10+ years of relevant sales experience, with 3-5 years in a senior sales role within the energy sector.
Skills:
Strong strategic thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.
Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to deliver timely, effective solutions.
Experience in B2C and B2B sales and marketing in rural environments.
Excellent relationship management, data analysis, and forecasting skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Slack, etc.).
Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Nigeria's power sector is highly desirable.
Salary
NGN700,000 - NGN1,500,000 based on experience.
