With Termii businesses can verify customer identity & transactions, send product notifications to customers and generate personality and engagement insights from customer transactions.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager, Expansion & Business Strategy

Location: Lagos

Position Overview

  • Termii Inc., the leading communication platform in Africa, is seeking an experienced General Manager for Expansion & Business Strategy.
  • This role will be pivotal in driving Termii's international growth strategy, managing strategic initiatives, and expanding the company’s footprint across emerging and developed markets.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, market expansion, and business operations, with a proven track record of scaling businesses in global markets.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement global expansion strategies to penetrate new markets and scale existing ones.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities in alignment with Termii’s business objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set long-term goals and define key performance indicators (KPIs).

Market Expansion:

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify new opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and understand regulatory requirements.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including local partners, regulators, and industry leaders, to facilitate market entry and growth.

Business Operations:

  • Oversee the operational execution of global expansion projects, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
  • Implement and manage processes, systems, and metrics to monitor progress, drive accountability, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.

Partnership Development:

  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships that enhance Termii’s value proposition and accelerate market entry.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with partners to ensure mutual success and long-term collaboration.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for global expansion projects, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to conduct financial modelling, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.

Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team capable of executing global expansion strategies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or global expansion, preferably in the tech or telecommunications sector.
  • Proven experience in scaling businesses internationally, with a deep understanding of emerging markets, particularly in Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, or Nigeria.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote working environment.
