Position Overview
Termii Inc., the leading communication platform in Africa, is seeking an experienced General Manager for Expansion & Business Strategy.
This role will be pivotal in driving Termii's international growth strategy, managing strategic initiatives, and expanding the company’s footprint across emerging and developed markets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, market expansion, and business operations, with a proven track record of scaling businesses in global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement global expansion strategies to penetrate new markets and scale existing ones.
Identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities in alignment with Termii’s business objectives.
Collaborate with executive leadership to set long-term goals and define key performance indicators (KPIs).
Market Expansion:
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify new opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and understand regulatory requirements.
Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including local partners, regulators, and industry leaders, to facilitate market entry and growth.
Business Operations:
Oversee the operational execution of global expansion projects, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
Implement and manage processes, systems, and metrics to monitor progress, drive accountability, and achieve desired outcomes.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
Partnership Development:
Identify and secure strategic partnerships that enhance Termii’s value proposition and accelerate market entry.
Manage ongoing relationships with partners to ensure mutual success and long-term collaboration.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets for global expansion projects, ensuring financial targets are met.
Collaborate with finance teams to conduct financial modelling, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing team capable of executing global expansion strategies.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team and across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or global expansion, preferably in the tech or telecommunications sector.
Proven experience in scaling businesses internationally, with a deep understanding of emerging markets, particularly in Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, or Nigeria.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote working environment.
