Job Summary
The A&R Manager is critical in identifying, developing, and nurturing musical talent aligned with the label's vision and goals.
This position involves scouting new artists, collaborating to produce high-quality music, and managing relationships to maximize their creative potential and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Scouting and Acquisition:
Actively scout for new artists, songwriters, and producers, staying on top of emerging trends and talent.
Evaluate the potential of artists through demos, live performances, social media engagement, and industry feedback.
Develop and maintain a robust network with music industry professionals, talent agencies, and other A&R contacts.
Artist Development and Relationship Management:
Work closely with signed artists to guide their creative direction, including song selection, production, and overall musical style.
Arrange collaborations with producers, songwriters, and other artists to enhance the artist's growth and output.
Build and nurture long-term, trusting relationships with artists, providing them with feedback and support throughout the creative process.
Project Management:
Oversee the production process of singles, albums, and other projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, PR, Digital, Sales) to align artist development plans with business strategies.
Collaborate with finance and legal departments on budget planning, contract negotiation, and royalty management.
Market and Industry Analysis:
Monitor music market trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to make informed talent acquisition and project decisions.
Evaluate the commercial viability of potential signings and music releases, balancing artistic integrity with market demands.
Brand Building and Promotion:
Assist in building and refining the artist’s public image, aligning it with their music and the label’s branding goals.
Partner with marketing teams to strategize release plans, social media presence, and promotional events for maximum exposure.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience in A&R, music production, or talent management, with a proven track record of successful artist signings and/or music projects.
Skills:
Strong ear for music and understanding of current trends across multiple genres.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with music production tools and software (e.g., DAWs) is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of music rights, royalties, and contracts.
