Job Overview
The Logistics Supervisor at Concorde Line Limited, will oversee the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring that all processes run efficiently, on time, and in line with company standards.
The role involves managing a team of logistics staff, coordinating deliveries, ensuring compliance with regulations, and handling both domestic and international shipments.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to optimize processes for maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision:
Lead and manage the logistics team, including warehouse staff, drivers, and support personnel.
Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure operations run smoothly.
Conduct training sessions for logistics staff on best practices, safety protocols, and company policies.
Operations Management:
Oversee the entire logistics operation, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Ensure that all shipments are processed, tracked, and delivered on time to clients, both locally and internationally.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the logistics workflow, improving speed and reducing costs.
Inventory & Warehouse Management:
Ensure the proper management of inventory, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate supplies without overstocking.
Ensure warehouse space is utilized efficiently and organized according to company standards.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure that all logistics activities comply with local and international regulations, including customs, tariffs, and trade laws.
Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment in the warehouse and transport operations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
Customer Coordination:
Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipments, resolve delivery issues, and handle any logistical concerns.
Work closely with the customer service team to address and resolve complaints or service disruptions.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate and analyze logistics reports, such as delivery performance, costs, and efficiency metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving logistics performance and reducing operational costs.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the logistics department.
Vendor & Partner Relationships:
Manage relationships with external vendors, such as freight carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure the best rates and service quality for the company.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including international shipping and customs regulations.
Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and productivity.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
