Gender Equality, Peace and Development Centre (GEPaDC) is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-religious and Women-led organization with the vision of“a society where women and men, girls and boys realize their full potential and participate in every sphere on an equal basis and where the rights of everyone irrespective of sex are recognized and respected” and the mission of “Promoting gender equality, peace and sustainable development and empowering women & girls”.
Provide the day-to-day management of all GBV cases including the identification, documentation, development of case plans, follow-up, referrals, etc
Assessment of survivor needs, developing an action plan, implementing the plan, follow up and case closure processes in line with the GBV standard operating procedure and IASC guidelines.
Advocate for more/ better GBV management, through Communication, Monitoring, and strategies aimed at achieving results
Support individuals or survivors by supporting referral to other service providers (Health, legal counselling, shelter, livelihoods, mental health, etc.)
Liaise directly with other service providers working within the communities of implementation and facilitate referrals to other service providers (health including Mental health, Shelter, NFl, and or legal providers, etc.
Provide direct support and care for survivors or vulnerable at-risk women and girls including basic information counselling.
Ensure follow-up and case closure processes are in line with the GBV standard operating procedure and IASC guidelines on case management (SOP).
Provide direct age-appropriate support and care to vulnerable persons and survivors that include basic counselling. PSS, MHPSS, etc
Ensure the principle of ‘Do No Harm’ is observed and upheld in all the engagements
Produce monthly data and regular narrative reports of cases managed in collaboration with the Senior Protection Officer (line manager) and the M&E Officers.
Provide weekly case updates to the Senior Protection Officer including new cases identified, number of referrals, cases closed, and follow-ups.
Ensure the principle of safety and confidentiality of beneficiaries’ data is upheld.
Submit intake forms, to M&E officers to ensure a proper database of cases and analysis of reported cases.
Participate in Bi-Weekly supervision meetings with GBV/PSS Officers
Maintain positive coordination and relationship with other partners at the field level
Supports training for GBV Caseworkers
Facilitate the setting up of an information desk at the women and girls’ safe spaces where adolescents and women of reproductive age can access Sexual Reproductive Health information.
Contribute within the WGSS to the identification of at-risk girls, boys, and women and ensure proper documentation.
Support GBV at-risk individuals or survivors by referring them when necessary and in respect of their consent to other service providers (Health, legal counselling, shelter, livelihoods, mental health etc.)
Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls (including survivors of gender-based violence) including basic information counselling and Provide direct age-appropriate support and care to vulnerable adolescents and young women (including survivors of GBV that includes counselling and case management for under 18 years’ survivors.
Ensure Do No Harm analyses are carried out and the humanitarian principles are adhered to.
Directly supervise the GBV case workers
Perform any other duty assigned by the line manager.
Reports directly to the Senior Protection Officer.
