We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Administrative Officer

Location: Garki Area 2, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • An administrative officer's job description typically includes a variety of tasks that support the day-to-day operations of an organization:
  • Administrative support: Answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling complaints
  • Office management: Maintaining office supplies, equipment, and records
  • Scheduling: Coordinating schedules and arranging meetings
  • Communication: Distributing memos and reports, and ensuring staff are kept informed
  • Policy: Creating and updating office policies and procedures
  • Staff management: Monitoring staff performance, handling disciplinary issues, and collaborating with HR on recruitment and training
  • Budgeting: Preparing budget estimates, ensuring compliance with budgetary laws and rules, and recommending expenditures
  • Travel: Making travel arrangements for staff
  • Documentation: Updating computer records and maintaining office correspondences
  • Administrative officers should be organized and able to multitask.They should also have strong communication skills and knowledge of productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
Administrative officers are responsible for a variety of tasks in an organization, including:

  • Managing schedules: Administrative officers organize and oversee schedules for managers, teams, or multiple employees.
  • Handling documents: Administrative officers are responsible for all office paperwork, records, and customer service.
  • Maintaining inventory: Administrative officers ensure that office supplies are maintained by checking inventory and working with vendors.
  • Managing finances: Administrative officers may handle tasks related to an organization's finances, including budgeting, inventory management, and auditing.
  • Event planning: Administrative officers may be responsible for planning and organizing events.
  • Interpersonal communication: Administrative officers interact with colleagues, clients, and customers via telephone and face-to-face.
  • Clerical duties: Administrative officers may perform more general clerical duties.
  • Payroll and accounting: Administrative officers may handle payroll and accounting activities.
  • Communications: Administrative officers may receive and forward communications.
  • File security: Administrative officers ensure the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems.
  • Administrative officers should be highly organized, self-motivated, and have strong communication skills.
  • They should also be detail-oriented to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately.

Remuneration
Salary ranges between N70,000 to N75,000 per month.
