Job Title: Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer

Job Summary

• Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Officer with a specialization in environmental safety. This entry-level role will support the implementation and management of environmental safety programs, assist with regulatory compliance, and contribute to creating a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• The successful candidate will gain valuable experience while supporting senior HSE staff and learning best practices in environment, health and safety management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring environment, health and safety policies and procedures.
• Help conduct environmental risk assessments and audits under the guidance of senior HSE staff.
• Support in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
• Assist in preparing and organizing compliance documentation and reports for regulatory bodies.
• Help organize and deliver training sessions on environment, health and safety topics to employees.
• Assist in promoting awareness of environment, health and safety practices through internal communications.
• Support investigations of environmental incidents and accidents, including data collection and preliminary analysis.
• Assist in documenting incidents and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain records of environment, health and safety activities, including audits, inspections, and training sessions.
• Provide administrative support for environment, health and safety programs, including data entry and report preparation.
• Assist in coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders on environment, health and safety issues.
• Support in addressing environment, health and safety queries and providing general assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in environment, health and safety or a related role is preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Work Environment:

• This role may require occasional site visits and work in various environmental conditions.
• The position involves standard office hours with the possibility of additional hours depending on project needs.
