We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager

Location: Rigachukun, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction of the company
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure rice and maize products meet safety, purity, and consistency standards.
• Drive revenue growth by developing and implementing business strategies and plans
• Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the company
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to assure the Centre's financial sustainability and growth.
• Oversee all company functions, Operations, Farm and production, ensuring compliance and adherence to deadlines, budget requirements and alignment with established strategies and plans
• Working closely with the VP of Accounting/Finance to review financial performance of the farm operations programs to maximize revenue and improve gross profit margins
• Prepare and present reports to the board, keeping them informed of important developments and progress towards strategic objectives
• Serve as the spokesperson of the organization, build, and manage relationships with external stakeholders including regulators, distribution partners, and maintain trust and partnerships with local and international stakeholders to ensure collaboration in the ecosystem
• Ensure the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the industry
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by each department (Operations, Safety, HR, etc.)
• Prepare and present Quarterly Performance Report (MPR) to the CEO
• Oversee the Coordination of suppliers to ensure timely procurement and smooth logistics for raw materials, packaging, and equipment.
• Collaborate with production managers to optimize manufacturing processes and minimize waste while maximizing efficiency.
• Lead product innovation efforts to meet market demands and conduct market research as needed.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact.
• Provide continuous training to employees on food safety protocols and quality standards.
• Conduct market analysis to inform strategic decisions on pricing, positioning, and marketing campaigns.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders to demonstrate corporate social responsibility

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Administration, Agric Business or a related
• field.
• Master's degree in any relevant field of study is an added advantage
• Strong interpersonal and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess good analytical and computing skills.
• Working knowledge of typical plant operations, equipment and maintenance standards, etc.
• Knowledge of HSE, plant operations, operations management.
• Excellent resource planning and utilization skills.
• Leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Result oriented/ quality focused disposition.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 / Month.
