Job Title: FEED Engineering Head
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
To supervise the execution of project FEED design and coordinate the activities of the other related works.
To achieve the design of UBETA facilities fit for purpose, Safely, on time and on budget.
Manage a multi-disciplinary technical team at HQ and within the project efficiently.
To anticipate the problems that may arise and proffer solutions.
To ensure a good coordination with other entities, Field Operations, Interface, Construction & Project Management.
To provide weekly and monthly work progress to top management of the COMPANY.
To maintain regular communication with NUIMS & NUPRC on the project progress.
To efficiently monitor, manage and supervise ENGINEER to ensure that deliverables meet required standards.
Accountabilities
Set a plan with the Engineering Contractor to have all deliverables issued on time and check detail engineering progress on a Weekly & Monthly basis.
Organize and control regular checking of the quality of the deliverables (drawings, procedures compliance with COMPANY specifications).
Assist project management in organizing, controlling, and checking the inter-discipline coordination and the coordination with other sections of the project.
Make sure that Contractor is performing an internal co-ordination during Detail engineering and Construction. This also includes co-ordination with Safety, Quality Assurance, Operation and Commissioning Project team.
Implement quality assurance procedures during Engineering activities and provide quality and progress report to Project team.
Review and analyze planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities; review and approve progress for discipline related activities, and coordinate with Project planning engineer.
Follow-up procurement, expediting, FAT, for discipline related activities.
Comment on contractor documents in due time.
Ensure good coordination of specialists working within the engineering team.
Ensure accurate reporting of activities
Ensure that project reviews (PR2, PR3 & SPOT2) are performed, and all actions closed.
Perform constructability reviews and 3D reviews and ensure action items are closed adequately.
HSE Objectives:
Familiarize self with COMPANY emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any incident, unsafe act, or operation.
Ensure all personnel under his/her supervision are well trained and aware of their HSE responsibilities with continuous monitoring.
Is responsible for compliance with industry and COMPANY specifications in the design of the facilities.
As Company Representative, has the overall responsibility for the management of HSE issues at worksite.
To demonstrate top-down leadership of all HSE matters in the team.
To ensure that HSE is given the highest priority.
To ensure the CONTRACTOR HSE activities are planned and implemented as per HSE plans.
Qualifications
B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering.
15 years cognate experience in Engineering Project Management in the oil and gas industry.
Excellent Engineering, Construction, Planning, Team management, Platform installation and Safety awareness.
Good Cost control, Contract negotiation and Contractors' management skills.
Professional membership of NSE, COREN and PMP is an added advantage.
