Job Title: Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Chief Pilot

Job Summary
This Job description includes as services incidental to the Provision of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) to Client in the Nigeria.
The candidate will manage the integration and oversight of RPAS capabilities and ensure operational viability.
Responsibilities
Strategically developing and executing project plans
Guaranteeing all contract requirements are met and resources are effectively allocated
Proficient in the coordination of Flight Plans and Pre-Flight Checklists, streamlining drone operations
Provide an oversight of the project RPAS Aviation Safety (including the new technology, Standards, Safety, and Compliance).
Over seen drone operations, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, compliance with regulatory guidelines, and seamless integration of drone technology.
Developing and implementing comprehensive operational procedures
Collaborating with cross-functions teams to design and execution UAS project leading to improved data collation accuracy and project outcomes.
Prepare flight test plan, Monitoring safety assessment and hazard analysis.
Assure all related manuals, such as the operator's handbook, the flight test operations manual and the checklists are up to date and in line with configuration management
Proactively identifying and mitigating project risks and issues
Ensuring compliance with CAA regulations and obtaining necessary permits for complex drone operation, allowing the company to expand it aerial services. Training and mentoring drone pilots, enhancing their skills and knowledge and contributing to a more competent and cohesive drone team.
Manage and follow-up on actions resulting from the discussion of the papers and related recommendations, decisions or outcomes reached during the panel and working group meetings
Participate in the discussion of such papers and provide support, information/documentation, as needed
Responsible for managing all documentation and reporting of all RPAS activities and deliverables to ensure their compliance with Client's policies and procedures as well as that of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
Creating and implement a comprehensive competence development plan to assist the understudy to achieve mastery within the agreed time frame.
Training and mentoring drone pilots, enhancing their skills and knowledge and contributing to a more competent and cohesive drone team.
Requirements
A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in roles of increasing responsibility in the field of aviation safety, air navigation, air transport, or related area
Experience in aviation operations as a pilot, engineer or air tranc controller is desirable.
Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related subject
