About the Role

• To ensure that policies and procedures are effectively developed, implemented and maintained in alignment with business goals, regulatory requirement, HO requirements and best practices. 
• The role involves overseeing the creation and enforcement of policies, streamlining processes and ensuring team members and departments adhere to them.  

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with key stakeholders to draft, review and update organizational policies  
• Designing or refining processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support compliance 
• Ensuring that policies and process comply with legal, regulatory and company standards  
• Leading the rollout of new policies and processes, and ensuring smooth transition  
• Identifying gaps, risk or ineffectiveness in existing processes and addressing them proactively  
• Create and implement an internal audit process  
• Continuously monitoring the effectiveness of the policies and processes  
• Ensure that long standing and current demurrage balances and investigated and collection efforts are conducted in order to maximize gains to ZIM and reduce overall balance.
• Set monthly actionable items to drive strict adherence to targets 

Requirements

• Bachelor or higher education, Knowledge in Management, or logistic discipline
• +10 years of professional experience across shipping disciplines, including finance, commercial and Demurrage / Detention. 
• Languages: Excellent English (Must)
• Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (MS Office Excel, Word, etc.)
• Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
