Greenville has the facility to produce LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and the logistics to supply the LNG to all locations across Nigeria. The aim of Greenville is to produce and deliver gas to all parts of Nigeria for existing industries and to revive shutdown/crippled Industries due to lack of power or lack of competitive power supply options.
Assist and ensure daily workshop activities and workflow.
Hands-on knowledge for repairing/ Trouble shooting of trucks and tankers (Both mechanical and electrical issues).
Coordinate scheduling of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Monitor the quality of work and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Team Management:
Support the recruitment, training, and development of workshop staff.
Foster a positive team environment and encourage professional growth.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Inventory Management:
Assist in managing parts inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
Monitor stock levels of spares to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.
Assist in preparing reports on workshop performance and productivity.
Support budget management and cost control initiatives.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the workshop.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective measures as necessary.
Be responsible for resource planning, budgeting, coordinating, managing and monitoring vehicle workshops operation across locations with desired efficiency, internal customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy aligned with the overall business goals and cost optimization and improving efficiency.
Performance metrics monitoring & reporting, data analysis and audits for proactive planning and mitigation of risks. Implement and oversee required software and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels and manage efficient procurement and distribution.
Managing teams of mechanics, panel beaters, vulcanizers, auto electricians, developing/ training teams to improve efficiency and ensure smooth workshop operations.
Managing and developing workshop workforce and ensure maintenance procedures are followed and improved, when necessary, in accordance with standards of the industry.
Implement preventive and proactive maintenance programs to ensure the safety and reliability of the fleet.
Ensure compliance with vehicle regulations and environmental standards.
Maintaining a clean and safe workshop and workshop area and belongings
Ensure optimized availability percentage of healthy trucks on the road and streamline the supply chain process to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Optimize efficiency of tyres, and all other fleet consumables.
Ensure spare parts inventory are well managed under SAP and stock are properly maintained at their minimum level.
Manage permitting, licensing, and compliance requirements including ensuring required liaison and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, adhering to safety standards and best practices.
Identify ways to consistently grow efficiency, job quality, maintenance performance, and assets reliability.
Manage, provide guidance and motivate employees of different levels and carry out management responsibilities in line with various regulatory requirements, organization’s policies, goals and objectives.
Planning maintenance schedules and activities to minimize downtime, ensure reliability and traceability.
Prioritizing work schedules for repairs, rebuilds and maintenance.
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by HOD.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 15 years' experience in mechanical works on heavy trucks and other heavy-duty machines.
Very good computer knowledge
Excellent communications skills in English
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic equipment and repair software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering quality repairs and maintaining accurate records.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within the automotive repair industry
