Role Overview

• We are seeking responsible and experienced BRT Bus Drivers to join our transportation team in Abuja. As a BRT driver, you will play a key role in providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services to passengers across the city.
• Your professionalism and commitment to safety will ensure a smooth daily commute for all users of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system.

Responsibilities

• Operate BRT buses along assigned routes in Abuja in accordance with set schedules and safety standards.
• Adhere to all traffic regulations, road safety protocols, and company policies.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
• Assist passengers with special needs, including the elderly and people with disabilities, as necessary.
• Report any mechanical issues or incidents to the fleet maintenance team immediately.
• Maintain accurate trip records, including route logs, fuel usage, and incident reports.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering passenger inquiries and assisting with boarding/disembarking.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (Class E or appropriate category for large vehicles).
• Minimum of 3-5 years driving experience, preferably with buses or large commercial vehicles.
• Prior experience in public transport or mass transit systems is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Abuja’s Road network and BRT routes.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions quickly in case of emergencies.
• A clean driving record with no major accidents or traffic violations.
• Professional, punctual, and reliable.
