Job Title: Chef

Job Summary
The Chef is responsible for preparing and delivering nutritious, health-conscious meals designed to complement the spa’s wellness treatments.
The Chef must have experience with dietary needs, such as allergen-free, vegan, and detox-friendly options.
He or she will work closely with nutritionists, dietitians, and spa management to create menus that align with the spa’s health and wellness objectives while providing an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
Menu Development:
Design and develop healthy, balanced menus tailored to the spa’s clientele, including detox, anti-inflammatory, and energy-boosting meals.
Collaborate with the spa’s dietitian to create customized meal plans for clients undergoing specific wellness programs.
Ensure the inclusion of allergen-free, gluten-free, vegan, and other specialized meal options based on client preferences or dietary restrictions.
Food Preparation and Presentation:
Prepare high-quality meals using fresh, organic, and seasonal ingredients, aligning with the spa’s wellness goals.
Ensure that meals are presented in a visually appealing and appetizing way, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in all food preparation and service areas.
Client Interaction:
Engage with clients to understand their dietary preferences and restrictions, offering personalized meal options when needed.
Provide information on the health benefits of different ingredients used in dishes, promoting the nutritional value of the meals.
Inventory and Kitchen Management:
Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available for meal preparation.
Oversee food ordering, stock rotation, and waste management to maintain cost efficiency and sustainability in kitchen operations.
Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure all appliances are functioning properly, reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management.
Collaboration with Wellness Team:
Work closely with the spa’s wellness team, including dietitians, nutritionists, and therapists, to ensure that meals support the health objectives of various treatments and programs.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to developing wellness packages that include both treatments and tailored nutritional support.
Compliance with Health Regulations:
Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards, including local health department regulations.
Implement best practices in food handling, storage, and preparation to prevent contamination and ensure client safety.
Experience / Qualifications
Culinary degree or relevant certification in culinary arts.
3+ years of experience as a Chef, preferably in a health-conscious or wellness-focused environment.
Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and the ability to create meals that support specific health goals.
Experience in preparing allergen-free, vegan, and detox-friendly meals.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards
