Mission Objective
Clinical services operations department is responsible for the smooth running of the clinics, by providing support to the medical team to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare.
The operations assistant manages appointment schedules for both the patient and doctor ensuring that patient wait times are kept at the minimum.
They also provide information about the services and products of the Clinics when visitors make an enquiries as well as handling patient billing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Purpose:
Attends to patients at the clinic, triaging and classifying patients for optimal care create, update, and maintain low-level records and databases related to Odoo, EHA Care etc
Ensuring the smooth running of the clinical operation in the clinics thereby encouraging a high patient flow and adherence to schedules.
Sales of clinical products such as membership packages e.t.c
Scheduling appointments and keeping track of patient wait time, Initiate prompt communication and reminders with patients on appointments through SMS, phone calls, emails etc
Engagement:
Providing information about the services and products of the Clinics when visitors make an enquiry.
Acts as liaison person between the patient and other departments. Resolving queries and requests from the patients to the laboratory, medical and pharmacy teams.
Act as liaison officers between HMO clients and EHA Clinics; confirming patient eligibility, seeking approvals, pre-authorizations and service coverage enquiries from the HMOs
Delivery:
Patient billing management- receipt of payments from clients and HMOs via various payment methods not limited to cash payments, bank transfers, POS e.t.c
Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication
Accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Key Area Of Note:
Keep up to date with relevant medical research, technology, and evidence-based medical practice by attending continuing education courses and professional meetings, reading journals, etc.
Research unusual symptoms and treatment options, through consultation with physicians and other medical specialists.
