Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi (FCEGM) was established in 2019 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The College is located in the ancient city of Gidan Madi, Tangaza Local Governmnt and Its Motto is "Learning for Self Relience". The college is committed to the production of teachers with the intellectual and professional background adequate for their assignment and to make them adaptable to any changing situation not only in the life of their country but also in the world.

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Gidan Madi, Sokoto
Duration: 5 years

Responsibilities

• The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and management of the College.
• Maintains all records of staff and students.
• Conducts and receives all correspondence on behalf of the Council and Management.
• In accordance with the Federal Colleges of Education Act, 2023, the Registrar serves as Secretary to the Council, Management Committee, Academic Board, and any Committee of Council.
• Performs any other duties as directed by the Council or Provost.

Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A good honors degree in any of the Social Sciences or Arts from a recognized institution of higher learning.
• A relevant Master's degree from a recognized institution with at least 18 years of cognate work experience. A Doctorate degree is an added advantage.
• Must have served as a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS-15.
• Evidence of continuous mandatory professional development.
• Proficiency in Information Communication Technology (ICT).
• Membership in a recognized professional body in the relevant field.
• The successful candidate must not be above the age of 59 at the time of appointment.

Terms of Appointment / Conditions of Service

• Conditions of Service are as outlined in the 2015 Revised Scheme and Conditions of Service for Colleges of Education in Nigeria.

Duration of Tenure:

• The tenure of appointment is for a single term of 5 years from the date of appointment.

Salary
Consolidated salary for Registrars of Federal Colleges of Education will apply.
