The Nursery and primary school was upgraded to the secondary school by the governing council as a result of a remarkable acceptance by the Muslim Community and within a short period of existence. The college which is enriched with stately built school premises in a serene and conducive environment with modern facilities commenced operations in 2005

Job Overview

• TAAS College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher to join our team of educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching science subjects (such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Integrated Science) to secondary school students.
• The ideal candidate should be passionate about inspiring young minds, with a proven track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons. The candidate must also be willing to relocate or reside close to Apata, Ibadan, for easy accessibility to the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality science lessons to secondary school students in line with the Nigerian curriculum and examination standards (WAEC, NECO).
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials in accordance with the school’s policies.
• Engage students through interactive and practical lessons, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Assess, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on student performance.
• Prepare students for internal and external exams, ensuring they meet or exceed expected standards.
• Utilize diverse instructional techniques to cater to various learning styles and needs of students.
• Maintain classroom discipline, manage student behavior, and promote a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning and school initiatives.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
• Monitor and report on student progress, keeping detailed records of student achievements.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-7 years of teaching experience in a secondary school, with a strong focus on science subjects.
• Proven experience preparing students for WAEC and NECO exams.

Skills:

• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Proficiency in using modern teaching technologies and resources.
• A passion for education and commitment to student success.

Location:

• Candidates must be willing to relocate to Ibadan or already reside close to Apata, Ibadan, to ensure easy access to the school.

Other Requirements:

• A valid teaching qualification or certification.
• Must possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm for teaching, and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and time management skills.
