MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is part of Marie Stopes International’s Global Partnership which is in over 37 countries worldwide and it operates in Nigeria through six service delivery channels.

Job Title: Clinical Service Provider (Outreach)
Locations: Bauchi, Bayelsa, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi, Niger and Sokoto
Responsibilities
Overall Responsibilities:
To give high-quality MSIN-focused core clinical services in the assigned Clinic of excellence.
To uphold Marie Stopes's clinical policies and procedures,
principles of responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
Exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, and co-workers.
Show courtesy, compassion, and respect to all within the clinical environment, providing a safe and therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
To participate fully in MSIN Institutional strengthens and Capacity-building activities where appropriate.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Conform to the critical service standards established for the clinic and the medical team.
Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with the patient's care code, established by the physician, within thescope of practice.
Assisting with and contributing to thedevelopment of nursing care within the clinic.
Deliver requested service while counselling patients to full knowledge of theservice to be provided before uptake.
Assisting physician or other medical staff personnel with examinations and treatments by providing support to patients, chaperoning, and other assistance as directed or required.
Within scope, evaluates patient's condition by observing signs, symptoms, and reactions to therapy, to identify unexpected and/or significant findings, andinitiate appropriate emergency procedures, as necessary.
Ensure proper management and maintenance of all clinical supplies and equipment.
Documents patient signs, symptoms, observations, and therapeutic treatments to thepatient's medical record.
Dispense prescribed drugs to patients with written and verbal instructions on usage.
Ensures cleanliness of nursing module, patient room, and environment and proper functioning of patient care equipment by visual inspection, routine testing, and other related methods.
Ensure proper sterilisation of clinical instruments on daily basis.
Communication and Administration:
Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented
Follow up on all client complaints relating to any of the MSIN services and make recommendations.
Make proper use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery & training
Assist the team with interviews relating to clinical issues to protect MSIN's reputation.
Collate information/data on services provided in the field.
Manage and properly account for all MSIN resources and properties at the clinic.
Support the demand creation marketing team by providing technical advice to clients at the small and large group activations periodically.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in medicine or nursing or Midwifery (Essential),
Possess a minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position, in an established healthcare system.
Current NMCN License
BCLS Certification.
Have a clinical certification in Midwifery.
Must have proven experience to work with minimum supervision.
Experience with working in sexual reproductive and maternal health will be an added advantage.
Excellent provider-client interaction skills
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Articulate and analytical with attention to detail
Possess working knowledge of thehealth delivery system in Nigeria.
