Job Title: Business Studies, Economics and Financial Accounting Teacher
We are looking for a passionate and qualified teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in Business Studies (IGCSE), Economics, and Financial Accounting at our Cambridge-accredited institution.
The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a stimulating learning environment and be actively involved in students’ academic development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies (IGCSE), Economics, and Financial Accounting in line with Cambridge curriculum standards.
Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students in all assigned classes.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
Ensure teaching practices are innovative, student-centred, and aligned with academic policies.
Prepare students for external examinations (IGCSE, WAEC, NECO, and other relevant assessments).
Participate in extra-curricular activities that complement the academic programme.
Utilize modern teaching methods and educational technologies to enhance learning experiences.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and professional development.
Maintain communication with parents/guardians regarding students' academic progress.
Keep accurate records of students' academic and behavioural progress as per school guidelines.
Attend staff meetings, and training sessions, and contribute to school events.
Stay informed about the latest educational developments within the Cambridge system.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Teaching qualification or certification aligned with Cambridge curriculum standards.
Experience with Cambridge IGCSE, WAEC, NECO, BECE, and relevant examinations is essential.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Business Studies, Economics, or Financial Accounting, preferably in a Cambridge-accredited school.
Proven experience in preparing students for IGCSE, WAEC, NECO, and other external exams.
Experience using diverse instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles.

Ability to start in November 2024.

Skills and Competencies:
