Job Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Principal with a strong background in English Education to lead and grow our thriving institution.
• The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum, with the vision and leadership to foster academic excellence and a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational management of the school
• Oversee curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring adherence to the Cambridge curriculum standards
• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that aligns with the school’s values
• Ensure the school meets and exceeds COBISand Cambridge accreditationstandards
• Manage and support staff development through professional growth opportunities and continuous training
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider school community
• Drive the school’s academic goals while encouraging holistic development (academic, social, and emotional) of all students
• Monitor and improve student academic outcomes, ensuring high performance in Cambridge Checkpointand IGCSE exams
• Oversee and manage school budgets, resource allocation, and school operations
• Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students and staff
• Implement and maintain school policies and regulations.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in English Education or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
• Professional certification in Educational Leadership or School Administration is an advantage
• Must be knowledgeable in the Cambridge curriculum.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership, preferably in schools offering the Cambridge curriculum
• Experience in a leadership or managerial rolewithin a Cambridge-accredited or COBIS partner school is preferred
• Proven track record of improving academic performance and leading a successful team
• Experience in managing school operations, budgets, and staff.

• Ability to start immediately
• Willingness to relocate to Owerri, Imo State.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff
• In-depth knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum, with experience in Checkpoint and IGCSE programmes
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead by example and maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with students, staff, and the community
• Proficiency in using modern educational technology and resources.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
