Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Job Summary
The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee the facility's design, development, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
The role is critical to ensuring optimal performance of machinery and minimizing equipment downtime through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repair.
The Mechanical Supervisor will also collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, compliance with safety standards, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment malfunctions, implementing timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive industrial equipment maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
Manage the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of machinery and mechanical systems as needed.
Replace faulty or outdated equipment components and coordinate repairs, working proactively to extend equipment lifespan.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure all machinery operates effectively and safely.
Coordinate and supervise work conducted by external contractors, vendors, and maintenance consultants, ensuring compliance with company standards and timelines.
Provide technical support and training to the manufacturing team on new or modified equipment.
Maintain accurate documentation of equipment maintenance records, repair logs, and safety compliance.
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, including OSHA and other relevant guidelines.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues and recommend solutions to improve long-term equipment reliability.
Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate new technologies into maintenance practices where applicable.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing mechanical process enhancements.
Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment failure, ensuring a swift resolution to reduce the impact on production.
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities to enhance operational consistency and quality control.
Knowledge Requirements
Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and heating systems.
Expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment, with hands-on experience in mechanical systems.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and root cause analysis techniques.
Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, HSE, etc.).
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word.
