Job Title: Control Room Security Officer

Job Summary
The Control Room Security Officer is responsible for operating and maintaining surveillance equipment, monitoring live and recorded video footage, and reporting incidents or suspicious behaviour.
This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the company's premises, responding to potential security threats, and escalating issues to relevant authorities as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily operations and activities across the company's premises through surveillance systems.
Ensure constant surveillance of the premises, adhering to protocols and best practices.
Alert the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of any suspicious activities or security threats.
Oversee activities at facility access points and surroundings, ensuring a secure perimeter.
Collaborate with in-house security teams to address security risks within and around the premises.
Generate detailed reports documenting daily activities, incidents, and any noteworthy events.
Maintain a secure, well-organized database of surveillance footage in compliance with security regulations.
Ensure all security equipment, including cameras, is properly maintained, escalating any faults for timely resolution.
Educate staff on the importance of maintaining a secure work environment.
Monitor and report individuals exhibiting suspicious behaviour to the Security Manager.
Escalate reports of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity to the CSO for immediate response.
Recommend strategies to mitigate security risks and improve overall security measures.
Stay informed of innovations in security surveillance and suggest improvements as necessary.
Provide timely information to relevant stakeholders and respond to inquiries efficiently.
Knowledge Requirements
Solid understanding of security operations within private and commercial settings.
Proficiency with technological surveillance tools and systems.
Strong surveillance and observational skills
