Job Overview

  • Our client, a prominent player in the spirits and beverage sector, is looking for an experienced and driven Sales & Marketing Executive.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of marketing to clubs, bars, and hotels across the country.
  • This role requires excellent communication skills, as the candidate will serve as the face of the brand at key activations and events, educating customers and stakeholders to enhance brand awareness and market share.
  • The candidate must have in-depth experience in both open market and modern trade environments, ensuring effective product distribution.
  • The role calls for an innovative individual with a consultative approach to sales, who can identify and nurture leads, converting them into long-term customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales and marketing plan to drive brand growth in on-trade (clubs, bars, hotels, restaurants) and off-trade (retail) channels.
  • Lead and manage brand activations, product launches, and promotional events, fostering customer education and engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and partners, including bartenders, bar owners, hotel managers, influencers, and wholesalers.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, conducting consultative sales, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ensure the consistent distribution, availability, visibility, and pricing of products across all relevant trade channels, including modern trade and the open market.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials, plan in-store activations, and execute merchandising and sell-out strategies.
  • Provide market insights, including customer preferences, competitive analysis, and trends, to refine and optimize sales strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of key accounts, ensuring they meet product distribution and placement standards.
  • Communicate product supply needs to the sales team and management to ensure availability and optimal product placement.
  • Ensure the brand message is clearly communicated through promotional activities and effective product placement in all outlets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of HND/B.Sc. with at least 3 years of relevant experience, specifically within the spirits or beverage industry.
  • Proven track record in sales and marketing, particularly in the alcoholic/non-alcoholic spirits sector, with experience in modern trade and open market environments.
  • Experience working with HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes) and other on-trade accounts.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with sales performance metrics and reporting tools.
  • A self-motivated, hardworking individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage strict deadlines.
  • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities.
