Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales & Marketing Executive with a strong background in the drinks and beverage sector.
The ideal candidate will excel at identifying and closing new business opportunities while fostering relationships with both new and existing customers.
This role requires a motivated individual with a passion for sales, who can drive market penetration and deliver on ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Maximize Product Reach: Ensure the effective distribution, availability, pricing, and visibility of all company products across various trade channels, including wholesale, retail, supermarkets, national accounts, and HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes).
Execute Brand Activations: Lead and manage key brand activation campaigns to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.
Meet Sales Targets: Consistently meet and surpass sales goals, contributing to the company’s overall growth.
Expand Market Presence: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the company’s customer base, ensuring strong product visibility in all trade channels.
Implement Sales and Marketing Strategies: Recommend and execute sales and marketing plans as per the agreed strategies to drive business growth.
Build Customer Relationships: Maintain and expand the customer base by nurturing relationships with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities.
Drive Profitable Business: Develop profitable relationships with both on-trade and national/regional off-trade accounts.
Lead Go-to-Market Strategies: Develop and manage market-entry strategies, including in-store activations, merchandising, and sell-out plans in collaboration with the accounts manager.
Supply Product Needs Reports: Provide timely feedback on product needs and market trends to guide sales and distribution strategies.
Collaborate with the Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to achieve targets within defined timelines.
Deliver Sales & Marketing Plans: Ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of the company’s sales and marketing plans, maximizing the use of allocated resources.
Provide Market Insights: Offer accurate market feedback to help shape pricing strategies, ensuring maximum profitability while maintaining competitive pricing structures.
Requirements
Education: Minimum of HND / B.Sc. with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG, open market sales operations, or distributor management.
Industry Experience: Previous or current experience in the drinks and beverage industry is highly desirable.
Sales Expertise: Proven experience in sales operations, key accounts management, and on-trade/off-trade channel management, including HORECA.
Communication Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
Territory Knowledge: Solid understanding of sales territories
Technical Skills: Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office, along with a good grasp of sales performance metrics.
Adaptability: Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-Starter: A motivated, hardworking individual who thrives in dynamic environments and takes initiative to drive results.
