Job Title: Tinting Machine Operator & Storekeeper

Job Description
The tinting Machine Operator/Store Keeper is responsible for operating and maintaining the tinting machine to ensure accurate and timely production o custom paint colours.
This role also involves managing the inventory of paints, raw materials, and other products within the store. The ideal candidates should have a good understanding of colour mixing, attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure the efficient operation of both the tinting and store management.
Responsibilities
Tinting Machine Operation:
Operate the tinting machine to produce custom colours according to customer’s specification
Ensure the correct mixing of colours by following standard procedures and formula
Perform routine maintenance on the tinting machine to ensure it operates efficiently and without downtime
Calibrate the tinting machine regularly to maintain colour accuracy and consistency
Handle and store colorants ,base paints, and other raw materials safely and compliance with safety standards.
Colour Matching & Quality Control:
Match paint colours to customer requirements, ensuring high level of accuracy
Conduct quality checks and tinted products to ensure they meet the required standards
Address any colour discrepancies by making necessary adjustments to the tinting process.
Mainatin accuracy records to colour formulations for future reference.
Inventory Management:
Receive, inspect and record incoming stock, including paints, colorants, and other related materials.
Manage the inventory of paints, and other products, ensuring optimal stock level to meet customer demand.
Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish supplies as needed, avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
Organize and maintain the store level in a clean and orderly manner, ensuring easy access to products.
Perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with inventory records.
Store Management:
Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
Issue products to customers or other departments as required, ensuring proper documentation.
Ensure that all products are properly labelled and stored according to their specification
Handle returns, damages, and discrepancies in inventory, and report them to the Outlet Manager.
Customer Service:
Assist customers with their paint colour selections and provide expert advice on colour mixing.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders, both for tinting services and product sales
Health & Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Ensure that the store and tinting area comply with all health and safely regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including proper storage of hazardous materials.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, tinting activities, and store operations
Maintain accurate and up to date records of all tinting formulas, inventory transactions, and machine maintenance.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of S.S.C.E or equivalent; vocational training in paint technology or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the paint industry
Strong understanding of colour theory and tinting machine operation
Proficiency in inventory management and record keeping
Attention to detail and accuracy in colour matching and inventory management
Good communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory management and reporting.
