Job Title: Lead Copywriter

Location: Lekki 1, Lagos

Job Summary

• As the lead copywriter, you will oversee a team of mid-level and junior copywriters to develop and execute content for our portfolio of clients.
• The ideal candidate will be a core leader, lover of people, and social media savvy, with a knack for coming up with witty and charming ideas.
• Should have an eye for detail and be able to plan an advertising campaign launch from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of talented copywriters, helping to collectively drive forward our overall approach to copy and content production.
• Contribute new campaign ideas and suggestions or ways to develop existing campaigns.
• Understanding brand and tone of voice. Applying these to all strategies and creative content.
• Stay up to date with social media trends and be able to create compelling content.
• Familiarizing themselves with the product, target audience, and competitor activities in the market.
• Leading brainstorming sessions, ideation, and concepts with other members of the creative team.
• Writing various copy options, which may be presented to the client as a storyboard (a consecutive series of frames depicting the script and drawings that may be used).
• Reviewing progress and modifying copies until the client is satisfied.
• Overseeing the production phase, booking and liaising with designers, illustrators, printers, photographers, and production companies.
• Recruiting, training, and supervising a team of creatives, copywriters, designers, social media managers, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience in a creative agency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, most especially Word and PowerPoint
• Strong Presentation and Pitching Skills
• Ability to harness financial data to inform decisions

Skills

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly.
