Haske Humanitarian Aid Initiative (HHAI) is a government registered and recognized Woman-Led and Youth-driven National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) founded in 2022. Our mission is to save lives, alleviate the suffering of most vulnerable children, adolescents (lower and older), young people, women and People With Disabilities (PWD); to maintain human dignity during and in the aftermath of man-made crises and natural disasters, among those affected by them; as well as to prevent and strengthen preparedness for the occurrence of such situation; and to promote their rights in the society.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Location: Bauchi
Position Summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for designing and implementing M&E activities for ongoing programs, ensuring the effective collection, analysis, and utilization of data to improve program performance and ensure accountability to beneficiaries and donors.
The M&E Officer will work closely with program teams to support evidence-based decision-making and reporting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality interventions in humanitarian contexts.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement M&E systems and tools to monitor and evaluate program performance, outputs, and outcomes.
Work with project teams to ensure data collection processes are well-coordinated, standardized, and accurate.
Conduct field visits to monitor the implementation of project activities, collect data, and validate information.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure the effectiveness and impact of program interventions.
Provide timely and accurate reports to project teams, senior management, and donors on program performance and impact.
Ensure data integrity and quality control measures are in place across all projects.
Support the training of staff and partners in M&E tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Collaborate with program and technical teams to ensure M&E findings are integrated into program design and implementation.
Assist in the development of program proposals by providing data and evidence to support decision-making.
Maintain and update M&E databases to ensure all relevant program data is well-organized and easily accessible.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field.
A Master’s Degree is an advantage.
At least 3 years of experience in M&E, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
Strong understanding of M&E methodologies, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques.
Experience working with humanitarian and development projects in challenging and conflict-affected environments.
Proficiency in data management and analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, or other relevant tools.
Excellent reporting, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
Willingness to travel to remote and insecure locations for field monitoring.
