Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking to hire a business development officer who is also a digital marketer with deep knowledge of Social media marketing, copywriting and experience marketing software products for a tech start-up.
  • The candidate will be responsible for selling out software products/ services, drafting business proposals and increasing the financial growth of the organization by identifying potential clients and bringing business deals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients to purchase software products and services.
  • Close business deals on software products and services
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
  • Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
  • Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business
  • Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
  • Track and report on the status of proposal components
  • Conduct ongoing market research
  • Drive the end-to-end sales process
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts
  • Answer technical questions from customers about the company’s software products/services
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to improve online visibility.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries promptly, and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, and blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications
  • Collaborate with design teams to create visually appealing and shareable multimedia content
  • Foster community engagement through online forums, groups, and social media communities.

Qualifications

  • BSc/Hnd in Marketing, computer science, Business Administration or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development and social media marketing of software products/services.
  • 2 years experience in marketing tech product for a tech start-up firm.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing software products and social media marketing is a MUST.
  • Ability to write a sales pitch and also copywriting skills is necessary.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in Seo and ads campaign etc.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Must be able to write and speak good English.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience managing budgets and reviewing financial statements
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

Salary
N300,000 per month.
