Job Summary
The Head of Sales and Distribution will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire a sales team, build strong relationships with clients, and collaborate across departments to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Spearhead the development of transactional solutions and channels for consumers and the MSE market, driving overall transaction revenue in alignment with the bank’s strategic goals.
Identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities, including new markets, products, and services, by designing cost-effective delivery channels suited to each segment.
Build internal capacity to support growth initiatives, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
Lead and promote innovation across the bank, fostering a culture of creativity and forward-thinking solutions.
Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote and sell the bank’s products and services.
Collaborate with senior management to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the entire institution, contributing to the bank’s overall success.
Management of branches and other sales networks for efficiency.
Expanding the company’s transactional and other product offerings to current and prospective customers through enhancements of product suitability.
Ensure a unified vision, goals and objectives to align business effort towards a common goal through visionary leadership.
Provide direction and guidance towards achieving of strategy, goals and objectives.
Identify new representation opportunities and thereby ensure a proper cost effective distribution channel across the group.
Oversees development of policies, procedures and objectives for marketing and selling the organization's products and services.
Oversees product/service development, pricing, marketing budgets, and sales objectives.
Steering the delivery of all the channel-based (electronic, branch and agents) products to the Company’s customers, including offering the required maintenance support to customers in order to meet or exceed planned revenue or volume targets.
Driving and monitoring the sales of the various products to current and prospective customers
Requirements
Proven track-record in sales leadership, financial inclusion, and product development within the financial services industry.
Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable plans.
Experience in building and managing teams, with a focus on capacity building and innovation.
Solid understanding of the Nigerian financial services landscape, particularly in the microfinance and MSE sectors.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to working with senior management teams.
Knowledge of banking channels, marketing conditions, the local market and banking trends.
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the financial services industry of which at least 5 years in a management role.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in senior management role in relationship management/ banking, operations, product development or sales.
Ability to identify business growth opportunities and make informed decisions.
Advanced analytical skills, with an ability to research and synthesize information and broad ranges of Group Strategies.
Ability to build relationships with the internal and external stakeholders.
