Job Summary
The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s social media strategy to enhance online presence, brand awareness, and engagement.
This role involves overseeing social media content creation, managing the brand's voice across multiple platforms, monitoring analytics, and driving social media marketing campaigns that align with the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company’s marketing goals.
Identify target audiences and create a tailored content plan for each social media platform.
Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to optimize social media efforts.
Content Creation and Management:
Plan, create, and schedule engaging content (text, images, videos, etc.) across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and others.
Collaborate with the marketing team, graphic designers, and content creators to produce high-quality content that resonates with the audience.
Ensure brand consistency in messaging and tone across all social media channels.
Curate user-generated content, collaborate with influencers, and facilitate partnerships that enhance brand visibility.
Community Engagement:
Actively monitor, engage, and respond to followers, customers, and stakeholders on social media platforms.
Foster meaningful conversations and build relationships with the online community.
Address customer inquiries, comments, and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive brand experience.
Campaign Development and Execution:
Plan and manage social media advertising campaigns, including paid ads on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
Work closely with the marketing team to integrate social media campaigns with broader marketing initiatives, product launches, and promotions.
Monitor campaign performance, making adjustments to ensure maximum ROI.
Analytics and Reporting:
Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, such as engagement rates, reach, impressions, followers, and conversions.
Use social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
Provide actionable recommendations based on data insights to optimize content and strategy.
Brand Awareness and Growth:
Grow the company’s online presence by increasing followers, engagement, and brand mentions across social media platforms.
Identify and build relationships with influencers, brand advocates, and relevant industry figures.
Monitor competitors’ social media activities and market trends to ensure the brand remains competitive and innovative.
Social Listening and Reputation Management:
Use social listening tools to monitor brand mentions, industry trends, and customer sentiment.
Respond to both positive and negative feedback in a way that reflects the company’s values and strengthens customer loyalty.
Develop strategies for managing crises or negative public relations situations on social media.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, PR, customer service, and product teams, to align social media efforts with overall business objectives.
Support company events, webinars, and initiatives by promoting them on social media and engaging with participants.
Innovation and Trend Adoption:
Identify and experiment with emerging social media trends, platforms, and features to keep the brand relevant and ahead of the curve.
Drive innovation in content formats, including video, live streaming, stories, reels, and interactive media.
Key Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Addition to aforementioned qualification/ proferssional certification in Digital Marketing
Experience: 3 - 8 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube) and their best practices.
Content Creation: Experience with creating compelling content for various platforms, including graphics, video editing, and copywriting.
Tools and Software: Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Ai, Sprout Social) and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Analytics: Strong understanding of social media analytics, reporting, and tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Twitter Analytics.
Paid Social: Experience with managing paid social media campaigns, including setting up and optimizing Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, and LinkedIn campaigns.
Key Competencies:
Creativity: Ability to generate innovative ideas and create engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to craft compelling posts and engage with followers.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to align social media strategies with overall business goals and objectives.
