Job Title: Commercial Project Manager

Job Purpose
As the Commercial Project Manager, you are to assist the functional head of the Energy Subsidiary.
Tasked with projects and business activities, improving overall business functions to make the company run profitably, developing new businesses and partnerships, developing strategic plans, communicating business goals with people, process, and technology in view, and having a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Driving the marketing, branding, project, and business development activities including client relations, proposal development, and attendance at conferences and workshops at the top level in the Power, Oil & Gas (downstream, midstream, and upstream), Manufacturing and other Sectors ▪ Assist in planning and implementing long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and budget forecasts.
Coordinate and manage the integration of technical activities.
Oversee and report on the project’s progress to the Head of Energy
Sourcing for strategic partnerships, new businesses and projects (local & international
Assist clients in the project development and project management of renewable energy projects throughout the project life cycle – from development to construction, to operational hand-off.
Develop plans and estimates for projects, including equipment and construction pricing, labor rates and schedules, and productivity estimates.
Coordinate external bidding process required to procure goods and services necessary for all phases of project execution, including preparation of bid packages, evaluation of proposals, contract negotiations, and recommendations to senior management.
Support project developers in developing projects and assist risk management as requested to secure power-off take arrangements, financing agreements, equity acquisition agreements, and requests forproposals related to the projects/sites for which the Project Manager is responsible.
Work in partnership with development teams to ensure a seamless transition of sites into the construction phase.
Provide leadership for the on-site project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, and adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones.
Perform commercial and technical contract reviews for construction and procurement contracts.
Review, comment on, and negotiate project change orders.
Review and comment on progress payment applications.
Ensure successful QA/QC and commissioning processes.
Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration, and litigation, as needed.
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews.
Travels as needed to perform required activities (approximately 25% of the time).
Qualifications & Experience
Must have 8 - 12 years of experience in construction project management of utility-scale energy projects, with 5+ years focused on utility-scale renewable energy projects.
BS/MS in Engineering or Construction Management with a PE license and/or PMP certification preferred.
Prior experience as a Project Manager or Project Developer responsible for the development, design, engineering, and construction of utility-scale wind, solar, and/or battery energy storage projects is required for this position.
Strong contracting, contract negotiations, and risk management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks within a project and multiple projects from conception to completion
