Job Title: Business Development / Sales Manager - Audiobooks

Job Summary

• We are seeking a driven and passionate Business Development/Sales Manager to expand our audiobook reach and revenue.
• You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the audiobook market, building relationships with key partners, and driving sales growth.
• This role requires a deep understanding of the book publishing landscape, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies: Create and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Research and target potential clients (e.g. authors, rightsholder, print publishers) and develop proposals tailored to their needs.
• Build and manage relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the book publishing industry.
• Negotiate and close deals: Secure favorable terms and conditions for audiobook distribution and licensing agreements.
• Sales reporting and analysis: Track sales performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports to management.
• Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with marketing, production, and editorial teams to ensure successful audiobook launches and promotions.
• Attend industry events: Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and other relevant events to network and generate leads.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Proven sales experience: 1.5+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the publishing or media industry, with a focus on book publishing.
• Knowledge of the book publishing market: Strong understanding of book production, distribution, and consumption trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build rapport, effectively present ideas, and negotiate with clients.

• Existing relationships with key players in the book publishing industry.
• Experience with digital marketing and social media promotion.
• Passion for audiobooks and a strong understanding of different genres.

Salary
N200,000 - N400,000 monthly.
