We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend development best practices, as well as experience in architecting, building, anddeploying complex web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable backend architectures using
• Node.js (Express), Python (Flask), and C#
• Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to industry-standard codingpractices
• Work closely with the product team to understand requirements and translatethem into technical specifications
• Collaborate with the frontend team to design and integrate APIs
• Ensure the scalability and performance of the application
• Continuously monitor and improve the backend architecture and codebase
• Keep up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on Node.js
• (Express), Python (Flask), and C#
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams of backend developers
• Strong understanding of backend development best practices and design patterns
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating with frontend
• applications
• Test driven development
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git and Git workflows
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Additional Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Familiarity with message queues
• Experience with .NET Core.
