Job Title: Camp Coordination and Camp Management Team Lead
Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Duration: 6 months
Job Summary
Our organization is a non-profit humanitarian agency dedicated to providing emergency assistance and relief to displaced persons and vulnerable communities.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Community Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) team.
The Community Camp Coordination and Camp Management Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of internally displaced persons (IDP) camps and host communities.
The successful candidate will ensure that camps are managed in accordance with international standards, national laws, and organizational policies.
The Team Lead will also coordinate with stakeholders, including government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Coordination:
Develop and implement CCCM strategies and plans in alignment with organizational objectives.
Conduct camp assessments and identify needs, risks, and opportunities.
Foster relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, UN agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
Camp Management:
Oversee camp operations, ensuring safety, security, and dignity for residents.
Coordinate service provision (water, sanitation, hygiene, health, nutrition, protection, and education).
Manage camp infrastructure, maintenance, and upgrades.
Community Engagement and Participation:
Facilitate community participation in camp decision-making processes.
Establish and support camp management committees.
Ensure accountability to affected populations.
Team Management and Capacity Building:
Supervise and mentor CCCM team members.
Build capacity of team members and community volunteers.
Conduct training and workshops.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
Monitor camp conditions and service delivery.
Conduct assessments and evaluations.
Compile and submit reports to stakeholders.
Safety and Security:
Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Humanitarian Studies, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in camp management, humanitarian response, or related field.
Proven experience in team management and leadership.
Strong knowledge of CCCM standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree in relevant field.
Experience working with IDPs, refugees, or vulnerable populations.
Familiarity with Nigerian context and local languages.
Skills:
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
