Job Title: Camp Coordination and Camp Management Specialist
Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned professional to coordinate and manage our community camp activities, ensuring effective delivery of services, protection, and support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for camp management, coordination, and community engagement, working closely with stakeholders, including government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
Responsibilities
Camp Management:
Manage and coordinate camp activities, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
Conduct camp assessments, identify gaps, and develop plans to address them.
Ensure camp maintenance, infrastructure development, and upgrade.
Supervise camp staff, fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and professionalism.
Community Engagement and Coordination:
Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and stakeholders.
Facilitate community participation in camp decision-making processes.
Coordinate with partners to provide services (e.g., water, sanitation, health, education).
Ensure effective information sharing and feedback mechanisms.
Protection and Accountability:
Implement protection mainstreaming and accountability measures.
Identify and address protection concerns, including gender-based violence.
Ensure camp residents' rights and dignity are respected.
Reporting and Monitoring:
Monitor camp activities, tracking progress and identifying challenges.
Compile and submit regular reports to management and stakeholders.
Conduct capacity assessments and training for camp staff.
Representation and Collaboration:
Represent the organization in camp coordination meetings and forums.
Collaborate with government agencies and NGOs.
Ensure alignment with national and global camp management standards.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Humanitarian Studies, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in camp management, humanitarian response, or related field.
Proven experience working with IDPs, refugees, or vulnerable populations.
Desirable Qualifications:
Master's degree in relevant field.
Experience with humanitarian agencies.
Knowledge of international humanitarian law and human rights.
Skills:
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Fluency in English and local languages (e.g., Hausa, Kanuri, Shuwa).
