Grassroots Lifesaving Outreach (LESGO) is an impartial, neutral and independent Non-Governmental Organization whose mission exclusively established to promote life in underserved communities through empowering communities to know and protect lives including their environment towards ensuring safe habitation through participatory methodology. Established in Grassroots Lifesaving Outreach was established in 2010 but was incorporated in the year 2011 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). LESGO exists to partner with government and relevant agencies to promote and strengthen humanitarian law and a universal principle that seeks to honor the dignity of mankind with support and believe that Life is worth living and living well.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Clinical Supervisor
Locations: Lamurde and Yola South - Adamawa
Duration: 6 months
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for the Coordination of health services through the provision of clinical services in facilities and in the field (Mobile Services).
The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team using applicable principles of Social Work and/or Counseling which include - patient psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, patient/family education and treatment planning.
Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with project goal. Organizing workflow and ensuring field staff understand their duties or delegated tasks. Monitoring field staff and facility focal persons productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching. He/She reports to LGA Team Lead.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Shall report to the LGA Team Lead
Supervise health workers and volunteers (Nurses, CHEWs and CHVs)
Mobilize and coordinate facility and field health volunteers during service delivery at facility level and mobile outreaches
Develop and implement community outreach plans to increase awareness in target communities or locations
Maintain and Keep accurate records of activities, and meetings and submit same to Team lead on weekly or as may be required
Undertake/lead advocacy and build good relationships with the community
Coordinate and ensure seamless referral services to appropriate quarters or service locations
Identify and report challenges and successes to the project management team
Provide mentorship, guide and training to health volunteers
Ensure compliance with project guidelines and standards
Supervise drugs stock management in mobile medical teams and facilities.
Act as focal point for liaison with community leaders and representatives in facilities
Share regular, timely updates to Team Lead.
Monitor the drugs consumption by establishing/maintaining mechanisms of consumption record and inform the Team Lead in case of any unusual usage, or stock shortages
Identify and rectify gaps or weaknesses in medical activities by using monitoring and supervision tools
Ensure rapid communication of suspect communicable disease
Supervises the team to ensure high quality service delivery in the community according to the current National guideline.
Support monthly community-level review meetings
Management:
Reporting and attending different meetings
Operational Management of Clinic team.
Manage supervise and activities of all field support staffs ensuring presence, accountability, reporting, data collection and submission.
Updating team on any development from LESGO Office
Report any issue relating to misconduct to Team Lead or HR team.
Daily supervision of Nurses, CHEWs and CHVs
Tracking activities of team members.
Ensure time sheet, attendance are filled and signed daily and monthly
Organize the weekly schedule of the Clinic team to ensure the smooth running of the activities
Ensure that field staff respect their assigned tasks
Provide strong leadership to ensure Clinic staff understand and work according to LESGO principles.
Prepare weekly activities report to submit to the Team Lead
Position Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Community Health or any other health-related field
