Job Summary
The Data Analyst will support the skincare company's data needs by analyzing sales, inventory, and market trends to optimize product availability, streamline operations, and enhance decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management and will work closely with teams across production, supply chain, and marketing to ensure inventory levels are aligned with demand, reducing costs while maintaining stock availability.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management:
Gather and manage sales, product performance, and inventory level data.
Ensure accurate stock tracking of stock across warehouses, retail locations, and online platforms.
Implement inventory management tools and techniques to improve stock accuracy and visibility.
Maintain and update databases, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data.
Inventory Analysis and Forecasting:
Analyze inventory data to identify patterns in product demand, lead times, stock turnover, and replenishment cycles.
Develop demand forecasts based on historical sales, seasonal trends, and market conditions to optimize inventory levels.
Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend actions to minimize stockholding costs.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely restocking and reduce the risk of stockouts or overstock.
Sales and Market Data Analysis:
Analyze sales data to identify top-performing products and emerging customer preferences.
- Monitor sales trends across retail and e-commerce platforms, providing insights to the marketing and product development teams.
- Use data to inform pricing strategies, product promotions, and sales targets.
- Track customer purchase behavior and identify opportunities to optimize product assortments.
Inventory Optimization:
Work with procurement and logistics teams to streamline inventory processes, reduce excess stock, and improve inventory turnover.
Implement inventory optimization models that consider shelf life, seasonality, and product lifecycle for skincare products.
Provide recommendations to improve supply chain efficiency, including just-in-time inventory practices.
Reporting and Data Visualization:
Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key inventory and sales metrics for management.
Use data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to communicate trends, forecasts, and key insights.
Generate weekly and monthly reports to track KPIs such as stock levels, stock turnover rates, and product sell-through rates.
Collaboration Across Departments:
Partner with the production, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams to align data analysis with business goals.
Provide data-driven recommendations to improve product sourcing, packaging, and delivery times.
Support the marketing team by identifying product bundles, promotions, and trends to boost sales based on inventory data.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in data analytics, inventory management, and skincare products.
Explore new tools, software, and technologies to improve data analysis capabilities and inventory accuracy.
Identify opportunities for automation within the inventory tracking and forecasting processes.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python, R).
Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Zoho Inventory) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
Inventory Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory turnover, stock replenishment methods, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to work with large datasets while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with experience in inventory management or within the retail or skincare industry.
Previous experience working in a skincare or beauty-related industry.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their integration with inventory management systems.
Understanding of sales and marketing dynamics in skincare or retail.
Must live within Lekki environs.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
