Job Objective / Purpose
A proactive individual responsible for gathering and analyzing data on raw materials, labor, and equipment to ensure accurate cost estimates while identifying potential cost uncertainties.
This role involves updating costs based on new information and collaborating with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage, design, develop, and maintain sustainable engineering practices.
Conduct on-site investigations and analyze various data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.).
Carry out technical and feasibility studies and prepare blueprints that meet technical specifications.
Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
Provide creative solutions to emerging problems and deficiencies.
Oversee and mentor staff while liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
Deliver the resulting structures and services for operational use.
Monitor project progress and compile status reports.
Manage budgets and procure equipment/materials.
Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety standards, and deliver required technical documentation.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
Collaborate with management regarding health and safety welfare.
Avoid engaging in improper conduct that may endanger personal or others’ safety and health.
Participate in health and safety training provided by the company.
Report any unsafe acts, conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately for resolution.
Key Performance Areas
Financial:
Staff effectiveness is a significant contributor to cost optimization.
Internal Process:
Ensure that staff training needs are met for efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage general request turnaround times between employees and management.
Assign turnaround times to every request and ensure adherence by staff.
Provide adequate tools/resources for staff to foster effectiveness.
Education / Qualifications
Candidates should possess an OND / HND / BSc in Electrical Engineering or any related field
Certificate of Artisanship / City and Guild Craft certificate
High experience in electrical repairs, installation, and maintenance.
General knowledge of new-age electrical designs, materials, and AutoCAD.
Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills.

Computer literacy (MS Word/Excel) is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in general electrical work.
Minimum of 4 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
