The company specialized in manufacturing nutritional food used for the care of children affected by malnutrition. NUTRIK supplies humanitarian and health programmes with high quality ready-to-use-therapeutic and supplementary food (RUTF, RUSF), as well as lipid-based nutrient supplements (LNS).

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Specialist focused on implementing and advancing medical nutrition practices within healthcare institutions in Nigeria.
This role is pivotal in aligning with the strategic objectives of our organization to expand our footprint in the Nigerian medical nutrition market.
The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the healthcare sector, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, predominantly within hospital settings.
Responsibilities
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the Nigerian medical nutrition landscape to identify potential business opportunities within healthcare institutions, particularly hospitals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders including hospital administrators, nutrition specialists, dietitians, healthcare professionals, and relevant government entities to promote and enhance medical nutrition practices.
Opportunity Identification: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of medical nutrition products and services to existing clients and prospects in the healthcare sector.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with organizational goals while addressing the specific needs of the Nigerian medical nutrition market.
Customer Relationship Management: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty by providing excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and clinical support, to ensure the successful delivery of medical nutrition solutions to clients.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the success of implemented strategies, and provide regular reports on performance, market trends, and new business opportunities.
Networking and Representation: Attend industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to represent the organization, promote medical nutrition initiatives, and stay updated on industry developments.
Requirements
Language skills: English.
Education degree: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Work experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the healthcare sector, preferably in medical nutrition or related fields, experience in selling to hospitals is highly desirable.
Other required skills:
Strong understanding of the Nigerian healthcare system and regulatory environment related to medical nutrition.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Travel within the country as required to assess prospects and connect with customers.
