Role and Overview
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the incumbent shall be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing finance, administration, human resources and support services of the Agency.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with ECOWAS and partners’ administrative and financial policies and
Provide guidance in financial planning for the
Supervise and update special
Oversee the development of a database of the Centre’s financial
Develop a financial control management system based on the provisions of the ECOWAS Financial Regulations and best practices.
Monitor the Centre’s accounting and cash
Coordinate the drafting of mid-term and annual reports on the activities of the
Prepare and monitor implementation of the Centre’s
Review and find solutions to financial variations in the implementation of the Centre’s
Co-sign with the Executive Director of the center all financial documents including the payment methods envisaged (transfers, checks and cash).
Prepare and present periodic financial
Prepare quarterly financial and management
Supervise preparation of periodic reports on the statements of accounts and bank
Supervise the management of special accounts and follow up on direct

Academic Qualification and Experience
Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in Administration and Finance, or Business Administration or in a similar field from a recognized university.
Ten (10) years of professional experience in accounting, financial, budget operations management, and procurement, of which 5 years are at a supervisory
Knowledge of ECOWAS financial regulations and procedures and ability to apply
Ability to provide technical guidance in various areas of administration, finance and
Demonstrated knowledge of network development to support financial
Demonstrated practical knowledge of relevant financial accounting principles and concepts to perform tasks in accordance with the generally accepted International Public Service Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and principles.
Demonstrate professional competence and mastery of position-related issues, proven knowledge of good accounting practices, ECOWAS financial policies.
Sound knowledge of financial and budgetary principles and practices, budgeting and financial
Professional Qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ICA, will be an
